Main limitation at the moment is visual representation of breaking gates, but we do plan to include it later!

Make defenders of neutral fiefs travel

So, I was thinking: we should want clans to get their neutral fiefs quickly in order for the real clan v clan fun to commence. But the way it is now bigger clans can either totally boycot any new clan's attemps at getting their fiefs or they can just help each other get them (carebearing).


I think a neutral fief should not really be something you have to fight over. It's a personal matter of any clan. However, just as the new clan itself has to gather an army to get to their fief, so could any other clan that want's to either contest that or help them.


So it's a bit like the new ambush mechanic: another clans has to build an army and march them in the vicinity of the new clan. If they manage to get to the fief in time they can contest it and a battle between those two clans will be scheduled. Any other clan who wants to fight in this battle also has to get an army there.


Since most of the time another clan's army wouldn't form up and travel so quickly the new clan will be able to take their fiefs without any combat. Their army should be able to continue traveling to their other fiefs without having to be formed anew at their stronghold.

Increase rewards for defending Neutral fiefs

Defence of neutral fiefs is poor these days as few clans want to antagonise potential partners by signing up agaiast them. The result is that few veterans sign up for defence and casuals don’t show, which leads to boring battles. 


Increase the incentives for defending neutral fiefs. One solution is to increase the number and rarity of loot chests, even if the defenders lose (more suitable to casual players). Alternatively, give a small troop reward to any successful neutral defence to incentivize veterans with lots of gold. 


Or just get rid of neutral fiefs. It seems to be a phase everyone wants to get over with, including the devs. Alternatively, make new clans start with more fiefs or more troops to more quickly start taking fiefs and getting us out of the neutral battles phase.

Depending upon where the "ambush/field army fighting" takes place (tile), determines what map is used in combat.

Vary simple, wherever the attacking army meets the counter-attacking force, based upon that tile it happens on uses a specific map. So if you fight on a planes tile, you fight on a planes map. if you fight next to a body of water, you use a map next to a body of water, exa. In doing so you provide a visual variety to the fields of combat in that mode. Not like these maps have to be that detailed.


Example, Open fields/low hills: use that map you teased us with the broken cart in the center and flat lands.


Forrest: per say there is a mostly straight fairly wide, well traveled road going forwards, both sides of the road has forested areas. Perhaps maybe there is a hut or two in the forest/just off the road (a small homestead with a small field?), some short stone walls on the side of the path. Maybe a stream somewhere with a teeny bridge. That simple.


Mountains: Perhaps we can have a main cobblestone road going along a steep and dangerous mountain range, perhaps in the middle is a wide precarious bridge with some less than ideal railing structures over a ravine with a decorative tributary. There may be several smaller footpaths leading around (that also lead close to the opposing forces spawns) so people can maneuver around, rocks spotting the area providing cover. Here you need to be aware that the enemy can be anywhere. Perhaps on several points there is a short ledge over the paths that opponents can hide on and jump unto unsuspecting foes. Complete with classical mountain tops, trees, and maybe a secluded spring or cave.


Near lake: Perhaps a rather smooth map that has a wide road with pleasant wooden fences that follows a lake along it's edge. Perhaps around the center a inlet is formed and it curves around that. Of course a dock or two may be included with some fishing decorations and crates. Some farmlands along the edges alongside some spare trees and lush grasses would be nice. Ideally the lake would seemingly take up half of the visible map. Or at the far side is some distant land.


I'm pretty sure its likely you will just do the random selection map thing, but please don't and consider this possibility. Also... having three more possible "ambush/field army maps" would be nice to experience.


Anyone with me on the general idea of where the conflict takes place determines the field of battle?

As Ramses mentioned, there are two maps at the moment, and they're actually already in nightly! We'll be able to add more maps in the future of course.

Will be pretty useful once troops sharing comes. Not sure if there will be time for this release, since it's all been planned already, but will look into it.

Name Changing/Selecting for Castles

as simple as that,i think it will be cool if clans could name their castle as they want. this will be a huge roleplay improvement..and even if not making up a name,mabey jsut selecting premade ones.

We had a discussion about it and can't really say if it will be added or not. Naming fiefs would be pretty interesting, but could potentially lead to offensive names and such, so would require a system for name moderation first.

Tickets should consider players actually fighting

Sorry to take my salt here but after the latest battle it became obvious that the current ticket system is somehow biased towards better players rather than player numbers.


An army consisting of 44 players should have no problem beating an army of only 16, unless the bigger army consists of total noobs only who don't know what they're doing at all.


As it stand one side could raise as many troops=tickets as they can and only send in a tiny elite core of players who usually end up with a positive KD in any given circumstance. They would certainly get enough kills in to drain the other team's tickets after a while no matter how often they would get killed.


Since this game was supposed to feature massive fights (100vs100 was a number that was thrown around at the beginning) the actual battle system should consider that.


Both armies should have a need of actual players to join their ranks, not just the very best.

We're planning to change it with Clan vs Clan battles once a mechanic for garrisoning troops is implemented in the next update. The reason why it was implemented this way in the first place is because defenders don't actually contribute any troops to a battle, while attackers do, making it much safer to defend than to attack (since troops are artificial and players don't lose them).


Neutral battles will most likely stay with the current system for the same reason described above, but we might come up with a different balancing solution later on. Even if the system won't be changed though, there can only be a couple of those per season, since neutral battles occur just once per fief.

Armour sets / Loadouts

Small quality of life suggestion : We should be able to make a couple of pre-set equipment loadouts to easily swap your gear. Un equipping each individual piece and re equipping the new gear is pretty annoying and time consuming.

Make the smallest battles 24v24

The population is large enough to support this and battles are rare enough for this to be reasonable. Hurra!

If population will be able to support it every battle, then of course we'll introduce the change. We'll wait for a couple of weeks to collect the data on it, but it would have to be consistent across every region, since it wouldn't be possible to have the smallest battles 24v24 in larger regions like EU and 12v12 in smaller ones like Asia.

Automatically kick defenders from neutral fiefs if they are not ingame 2 minutes before a battle

Defense of neutral fiefs is poor these days as people are unreliable. Make the AI automatically kick defenders that are not ingame right before a battle to make space for new signups.

Allow players to sign up regardless of a team being full or not

If a team is full, it is currently impossible to sign up for a battle. Limit the number of accepted players of course, but let commanders get the full overview by seeing everyone that signed up for them despite having a full team. For defending neutral fiefs, this can also allow for full teams if people fail to show up as extra signees will substitute (first come first server).

Will always allow to sign up. As for neutral fiefs, there will be a system that allows to join even without signing up if some of the defenders don't show up.

Message to signups for Militari

Pretty simple, allow commanders to post a message viewable by any potential signups AND a seperate, locked message for accepted players. This could for example be voice chat information or clan policy for accepting players. The message for accepted players could be more detailed battle plans.

Arrows not visible enough

Make arrows appear thicker when flying, they r impossible to track and u cant judge your shots
