Archers secondary custom

Surprised this is under the "Crazy Idea" section, but being limited to the small axe as a sidearm with no possibility for changing it is really disheartening. Being able to choose another sidearm that isn't so bloody short and is solely cutting damage for instance would open up a lot of possibilities for an archer - Mostly, the idea of hybridization might come into play, where they can actually wear heavier armor and not be afraid to engage people in melee combat (and not have to run away since they're so light on their feet as they optimize for reload speed). You might still see that, but I'd think you'd see it a lot less.
