No jump attacks

Leave jumping in as a means of getting over obstacles but remove the ability to attack while jumping. It's too easy too exploit (i.e. jump slashes to get a headshot in against shielders... not much you can do about it)

It's also immersion breaking.

You can jump attack even in full plate irl so how doing it in lighter armor in a game can be immersion breaking?

It's not a valid way to fight in a historical setting and wouldn't give you any advantage irl. Furthermore it just looks ridiculous.

the coding for something like this would require a lot more might be easily possible unless you literally go shitty version i.e. gears of war, sleeping dogs style where "jump" is literally just a means to go over soemthing. it would really alter the flow and movement and freedom to explore areas that the game currently allows.

other option is to cut value of swing to 0 when jump animation is active. however jump and falling should be different animations values. this way if you are on your way up in the air, you can't swing, but if youve been falling for sometime you get 1 swing.

Any dev responses to this?

atm you can abuse the speedbonus your charakter gains from a swing with a timed jump, makes you jump higher (get around block) and gives you a dmg bonus... totally broken :) its the same with the bash right after a jump, the speed the charakter gains in the moment of jump adds to the bash and let you fly away ;) found this abuse in several melee games.. idk how to fix, maybe cancel swings the moment you jump?

Maybe the speed, height and damaged gained by jumping could be reduced by the weight of the armor you're in. If you're fully armored you don't jump as high, you jump slower, and don't get a dmg bonus. You don't to make swing value 0 while jumping, just make it not viable of using, like it would be in real life. Maybe if you're running around naked you can do some jump attacks, wouldn't really care about that.
