Separate Equipment for Militari
I would like to see different equipment used in militari battles, so clan leaders or army commanders would have to pay gold from maybe a clan treasury to equip their armies with the necessary gear they need. This could then add to the fun, if a clan is able to defeat another and take their equipment and gold then they'd be better off.

So you mean the clan leader dresses up every applicant individually? Or will there be a pool of gear to choose from and whoever gets their favorite stuff first has it in the battle?
Probably more like the second one, or maybe clan leaders can create equipment sets which others can then choose. So 'archer equipment' 'heavy shielder' etc
Like have Armour and weapon sets? If you don't buy any player would just have peasant gear. This would lead to interesting role playing dynamics. ex: Elite Armour set x 20, Elite sword set x 50, Light Infantry Armour set x 150 and so fourth...
