What is upkeep and how to pay it

Upkeep is a form of taxation for clans that participate in De Re Militari. It has to be paid by every member daily, and leads to destruction of a clan's stronghold in Militari if at least one clan member neglects to pay for 14 days.

The system automatically pays the upkeep every morning, based on a region selected by a clan. If there are not enough coins, a debt is applied to a player, which then has to be paid fully by that player (e.g. With an upkeep of 5 gold player that didn't pay for 3 days would need to pay 15 gold).

Upkeep increases for every member with each new player joining that clan. Make sure your members are active enough to pay their upkeep!
